#4.26 This Love

"These were the loves that I would remember as long as I lived. "

It was just like any other mundane morning until we boarded the hopper bus and got our butts back into the heart of the city of Nottingham. Never in a million years would I believe that we could have so much fun having breakfast in Greggs. Therefore, I guessed that what they said was true all along, that it was the company, instead of the place, that truly mattered at the end of the day. =P

After our coffee!
Trying hard to imitate the "sleeping poses" online.
Hot coffee in the morning.
Alicia and I.
Obsessed with sleeping poses.
Censored.
CH and Phey.
Wefie day.
Wefie day 2.
Wefie day 3.
1, 2, 3.
Phey's non-stop wefie day.
Carmoon and my bag.

Before lunch, we decided to have a walk around the Old Market Square. Whilst browsing the new stalls aimlessly, we bumped into Christine and told her that we're heading to The Pudding Pantry all because of her Instagram photo that made our saliva drool like waterfalls.

It was our lucky day because we got the last spot when we arrived so we wouldn't have to wait in line to be seated. Everything was perfect except for the fact that there were literally too many items on the menu that we would love to order. In the end, we had no choice but to reserve some of the desserts and beverages for the next visit. I swore I would come back for the gourmet white hot chocolate, smoothies and cakes in the near future!

Fluffy american style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup!
Chai latte, peanut butter baked alaska, pancakes and the sinful milkshake!

After having our taste buds satisfied, we made a random visit to Nottingham Trent University and had some fun before returning to the Old Market Square to wait for Carmen and Phey for dinner. It was my first time to visit the University, even though it was situated right next to the city. It held its very own beauty but of course it paled in comparison to the beauty of the University of Nottingham. Declaration: I was not being biased at all!

Such beautiful place!
The entrance!
In front of the fountain at Old market Square.

For the night, we had a nice dinner of four at Zizzi after much hesitation of whether to have Japanese or Italian as our last meal of the day. I wasn't going to lie that in the future I would really miss having company in doing absolutely everything - from traveling and celebrations to movies and afternoon teas - as well as having shoulders to lie on whenever I needed them. But as of right now, I would leave all the "growing up and being strong crap" part for the future me to worry about. =)

The two pretties!
Pizza time again!
Was about to get hit.
The handsome one and the pretty one.

Lastly, following the footsteps of Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters, Glee finally came to an end and it seemed just like yesterday when "Don't Stop Believing" came out and made me fall completely in love with the series.

Sadly, I knew that I would really miss all of the songs, lessons and laughters that it brought over the past few years but I reckoned that all good things must come to an end. The One Republic's song was no doubt the perfect choice for the final song and I truly loved, loved and loved the very last scenes of the series finale.

Thank you Glee for the awesome six years. =)

#4.25 Blank Space

"Apart from the FYP, I was trying to get myself occupied with different tasks and hobbies every day in order to fill this blank space and free time between now and our Easter trip. But I reckoned that the real reason was to keep all my unwanted emotions at bay. "

So, the third month of 2015 was already here but I felt that as if the year had just started the day before yesterday. Looking at the bright side (as always), this meant that spring would just be around the corner too. The official date would be 20th of March but I could feel that the weather was getting warmer by each day as less layers of clothings were needed.

However, there were also some extremely cold days that I still felt like I was living in a big, big rectangular fridge. Frankly, I was going to miss all of the time hiding behind the warm duvet all night long because it made me feel safe and sound as if nothing in my life could ever fall apart. Like I had always said, moments before I fell asleep would always be my favourite part of the day, at least for now anyway. =)

Ready to bid farewell to Mr. Winter.
After dark.
Night had its beauty too.

After having my hair cut and collected my online order, we decided to have our afternoon tea but we were running out of ideas on where to go until CH recalled that I had somehow mentioned a long time ago that there was a place where I wished that I could visit. It was Delilah, an absolutely lovely hidden gem that was a perfect combination of a food store and a cafe.

So, we decided to head over there and I was glad that we did. We were lucky that we got a pretty good view from our seats and everything (particularly the tapas) offered by the award-winning shop was incredibly satisfying to say the least.

Great place for a break.
Me and my crazy afternoon tea obsession.
Tea for him and coffee for me as usual.
Would love to be back again.

In the mean time, I also had a walk around Wollaton Park by myself to clear my mind. I was hesitant at first but still I managed to convince myself to drag my lazy butt out of the house and I was glad that I made the right choice. Even though it was a rare pleasant sunny day, the park was pretty much deserted. The highlight of the park was no doubt the herds of beautiful wild deers that roamed freely and it had been quite a while since I last saw them. =)

Ready for spring.
The solo buck.
Beautiful afternoon.
Happily basking in the sun.
The familiar important park sign.
The cute and curious deers.
Being led by a leader.
Running towards the other side of greenery.
Beautiful creatures they were.
Serendipity.
Beauty in everything.
Wollaton Hall.

On a Sunday morning with unusually pleasant weather, more than half of the Smurfies also went for another round of free movie in the city for the film X + Y. I did not have much expectation for this British film because I had never heard of it before but it turned out to be a lot better and inspiring than most of the movies that were produced nowadays.

For me, the conversation between the mother and the kid at the end of the film was the most beautiful and touching part of the whole story. Besides that, it was good to see a lot of England in the film, particularly when it came to small and common stuff such as the milk brand, honey jam and East Midland train, which was a really nice change from the usual American films.

As for lunch, we went to the famous newly opened restaurant - Georges Fish and Chips Kitchen but we had to wait for quite a long time before we got seated. The seafood feast was truly scrumptious that it even made me finish the warm mushy peas that I usually hated.

When somebody says they love you
it means they see something in you they think is worth something.
It adds value to you. - X + Y
Loved the design of the menu.
Fish and chips.
Totally satisfied with our choices.
Loved it here.
Beer + Seafood = Perfection.

A week later when I continued my tiny obsession with afternoon tea in Wired Cafe, I got an unexpected free second cup of flat white because the barista thought that the first one she made was not good and beautiful enough. Seeing my puzzled face, she reassured me that it would taste a lot better than the first one. I knew it was probably nothing much but I really loved my small surprises in life. It's also good to see that some people chose to be kind even when they didn't have to be.

Coffee, tea and cake.
The second cup.
Sinful dinner after that.
Camwhoring 1.
Camwhoring 2.

Finally, I really looked forward to the Easter trip as all of the Smurfies could finally gather once again! Hopefully it would be a memorable one that we all could remember in the years to come. =)
