#3.33 The Final Siesta

"幸福不是情歌 不是偶尔来做客 无法被预测 它很真实的 温暖你每一个 时刻。=) "

The exams had finally ended after what seemed to be forever. It was plain torturing to have to wake up every day and realised that I had no choice but to spend another day gobbling down the incredible amount of lecture materials, which had almost driven me mad. It was no doubt the most difficult exam that I had ever sat for. However, I was really glad that that part of my life was now over, well at least for the next couple of months.

The very next day, we took a mini-bus/van booked in advance by Carmen to the airport and started our 5-day trip at Switzerland!! I felt like an oil-dragging bottle as I did not contribute towards planning this trip at all. So, thank you very much for everyone who had involved in making it one of the best trips ever. Sadly, not everyone from Smurf Village went on to this trip or it would have been more fun and felt complete. The driver stopped halfway for us to have our quick brunch before we headed straight to the airport. It was cute that HongJian finished his lunch that he planned to save for later in a second after being "scolded" by ChongHorng.

Once we reached Switzerland, we spent the first night at Zurich Airport. I would never ever forget the hilarious "PheyJie with cleaner" sleeping incident in the middle of the night. The next day, we took a train to Zermatt and started the day with skiing. It was my second time to ski but I still could not balance myself very well. Luckily, we got two coaches unexpectedly to teach us and made the rest of the day so much more fun! The moment when Phey be the first one to line up for the handsome coach had all of us tickled pink.

It's the 4 of us again!! =P
Skiing for the first and second time. =)
All of us together with the Matterhorn!! =P
With our house's Fairy. >.<

After a long tiring day of walking around in the super duper heavy ski boots, we decided to call it a day. Thanks to Jessie, we had cheese fondue with peach for dinner! It was a bit pricey but a must-try in Switzerland, that was of course if you loved cheese. The next day, we woke up early in the morning to have breakfast and it started to snow outside! It was my first time to experience snow falling from the sky. It was beyond beautiful. =)

We spent the day on top of some mountain with heavy snow and walked around the town after that. I nearly slipped and fell a couple of times (okay, more like a dozen) but thanks to HJ I did not slip painfully across the road like I did on the very first day. The most funny thing was that we did actually manage to get lost in this small town on our way back to the hostel. I started to wonder if the GPS in my brain did ever develop during the critical window period.  There was only one word for my sense of direction - hopeless.

Cheese fondue with peach! =P
It was the cutest thing I had ever seen!
Everything was covered in snow! =P
A bunch of crazy people. >.<
Waiting for the tram to go up the mountain. =)
Cindy joined us for the very first time. XD
It's snowing heavily. And I' know that I look stupid. =)

On the very last day, we visited Geneva. We got to CERN before it opened but we managed to kill time by taking super weird shots and did some childish dance. We even managed to visit the watch museum before we had our dinner at a cozy Chinese restaurant. It felt satisfying to be able to have rice after days of eating bread and cheese. However, all meals in Switzerland were fairly expensive compared to the UK. Guessed I wouldn't complain anymore the next time we dined out.

One of the many weird poses.
一颗心的距离~

Thank God for the smooth and pleasant journey throughout the trip. It was a lot less exhausting than I had imagined it would be. The luckiest thing was that we even managed to stay overnight inside Geneva Airport!! We would be freezing outside if the airport had shut down.

This trip marked the end of the first semester and the third chapter of my life. It had truly been a remarkable and irreplaceable 2.5-year journey with you guys. You guys were the best thing that's ever been mine. I knew I'm the lucky one. Terima Kasih! =)
