#4.20 The Moment I Knew

"It was contradicting. It's like I wanted to fast-forward and skip the entire study months but at the same time I didn't really want time to pass by so quickly. "

The time had come when we began to write the last few pages that would finally put a full stop to the year of 2014. December arrived a little bit too quickly for me as I was totally not ready to end this year yet, even though I must admit that I looked forward to celebrating Christmas very much. Also, with all the hype, hopefully I would get my White Christmas this year since Nottingham hardly ever snowed last year. =(

Ethan, Carmen and I went to the city after church on Sunday morning. Guilty as charged, the number of times that I went to the church this whole year was less than the number of fingers a T-Rex had. Since Ethan hadn't tried Annie's Burger before, we decided to have lunch at the so-called best burger shack in Nottingham. Later on that day, I got my Mickey ears for the Christmas party and some stripped chocolate wafer rolls that were incredibly delicious.

The Elvis with peanut butter and jam that's surprisingly appetising!
Three of us in the city!

On Monday between lectures, a few of us had our lunch together in QMC and it was a bit sad when we talked about how this could be our last time to have a meal together in the hospital.

As the semester neared its end, we also had a few coursework group discussions and the best part of them would definitely be no other than the sinful supper time. Ten years from now, everything about health economics would be long forgotten but I would surely remember the nights that were filled with endless laughter and more importantly, lots of chips and spicy chicken wings. =)

Surely would miss the onion rings.
Wefie!
All my loved ones.
Our sinful supper!

Besides that, we had our annual Smurfies Christmas celebration with a little bit of a twist. After some discussions, we all decided to dress up as Disney characters. It was indeed a magical night to remember. =)

There were literally so many things going on that night including first impression readings, non-stop photo sessions, interesting games and secret santa revelations. The moment I knew that Carmen was my secret santa this year, I reassured myself (again) that I should never trust my hunches. I reckoned that I would always be bad in any guessing games.

Cute Santa!
All of the presents!
Just loved it.
First impression boxes!
And the party began!
Pear cider with Frozen characters.

The party ended around half past four in the morning and I couldn't even recall the last time that I had slept that late. It was a bit sad to think that it was probably the last Christmas that we could all spend together but at least it was the time of our lives that I would remember as long as I lived. Moreover, I didn't think I would be able to find another bunch of crazy friends who would be willingly to throw such a special party together.

House 89!
All of the guys.
Phey and me~
The red army of that night~
Loved all of them to bits.
Wefie again!

I loved my surprise!
How happy I was.
Thank you my Secret Santa.
All of us. =)
All of our gifts from Secret Santa~

After I finished the group presentation of god-knew-what-pharmacy-service-I-was-talking-about, I joined Smurfies for dinner in the University. CH and I ordered some christmas special meals that were super delicious! Again, we managed to have a nice, warm night together even when the temperature outside was freezing. I just loved the feelings when I was surrounded by all my Smurfies.

Soft drinks~
Lovely wine that Vivian ordered.
Thumbs up!

To finish this semester off, we spent a relaxed day walking around the city. After collecting my online order from Black Friday, we decided to visit Annie's Burger again but too bad it was closed. Luckily, we stumbled upon Pilot, a new restaurant that we had never dined in before and the food and service surprised us by exceeding our expectations.

Didn't care if people were staring.
An old couple even asked me to have a wider grin!
This was heaven!
A chilled afternoon at Waterstone.

Lastly, I really looked forward to the upcoming Norway trip, which would officially be our last trip this year. Also, I totally did not want to think about the painful study weeks after that! I prayed that time would go by slow enough so that I could take my time to appreciate everything that was beautiful in front of me. =P
