I had known it would come

eventually

but still prefer to indulge in self-denial

It hurts double

When you lose something precious twice

But stubborn I was

lying to myself

Just pushing it to the back of my mind

and refuse to walk away

although it's time to let go

When you lose something

that happens once in a billion times

Will you ever be able to get it back?

When you don't wish to leave something behind,

Will you be left behind instead?

Is this it?
When it ends, it just ends?

leaving nothing but nothing

and empty with emptiness?
