When we thought that we're fighting the hardest battle ever on Earth studying for the Edexcel trial, the people of Japan are fighting their very own a million times harder. And that is merely an understatement. The death toll paints a sombre picture and is very likely to exceed 1700. 413 confirmed dead, 784 missing, 1128 injured, 215,000 in emergency shelter and 300,000 evacuated from their home so far.

I don't know if there's ever a reason for something like this to happen, but I do know that people around the world are coming together and doing their very best to help this disaster-stricken country.


I couldn't imagine the fear and helplessness when the wall of water swept across the cities, swallowing everything in its path. And I would not say that I know their pain of losing their loved ones because I don't. But I understand and it breaks my heart.


In the wake of the catastrophe, we realize that we are one. We have always been and will always be. My heart goes out to those who have lost their lives and loved ones. Let's pray for Japan.
